I would like to share our new video with you. It was filmed and produced in Paris (although with green screen so you’d never know!).

Who are we? The Gentle People are Dougee Dimensional, USA, Laurie LeMans, France, Valentine Carnelian, South Africa et moi - Honeymink. We have created a variety of music and videos and live shows over many years (check youtube/itunes etc) and this is our latest piece of work.

I love this video - it is an excellent representation of Gentleworld because the director/producer, Jean-Marie Marbach, understood our folle galaxie - the humour, the sentiment and the fun. He created an amazing digital/visual representation of it.

This song is a version of h20 (I love you) by Copy Cat Project who are Russian friends of ours. (If you like this version, see their new album: Electric Tales of Tenderness).

So, the story of this video is like this: A scientist (Dougee) has been searching for the formula for love. He is working in his lab (situated somewhere very exotic), trying formula after formula. He is just about to give up and leave when one of his test tubes begins to change. There is some kind of chemical reaction! The scientist looks closer and closer and suddenly we fall into the tube, fly down through the smoke and steam and find ourselves in a strange new world.

Laurie LeMans is there in a Panton inspired landscape and she begins to sing. She sings of the search for the elusive formula and is soon joined by Honeymink. Between them they create a magic bubble which flies up into the air. The formula bursts out of the bubble and begins to fill the world. Dougee (scientist) suddenly realises that h20 is the vital ingredient.

We return to Laurie and Honeymink in the world of water and they begin to sing of their love for h20, stirring the water as they dance, mixing the chemical formula further.

Laurie and Honeymink then become part of the formula for love and fly through the strange world singing of how the formula will change. We see a beautiful place of cherry blossoms where Honeymink floats with the Nauga in a state of equilibrium but we fly on.

Suddenly Dougee catches the atoms in his hand and when he releases them, he has become part of the bubble formula along with Laurie and Honeymink. All three then sing of their love for h20.

As the formula is forming, Laurie enters a world of cheese. She walks along singing of her desire for the formula so that love will be hers. She passes through rain and steam to reach the other Gentle People who dance together.

Now that chemical change has started to be induced, it’s time for the Gentle People to leave one by one. Honeymink disappears, Dougee goes next and finally, Laurie atomises. The gentle bubbles float off into the galaxy and Nauga, not to be left behind leaves the world of h20 and floats off with them for their next adventure.
